"How AIDA Helps You Make Money as an Article Writer"
© Avril Harper, Chartered MCIPD, Dip PM
Here’s something most long-established Internet marketers already know, being that once you place an article online, at your own website or on an article directory, that article can spread like wildfire across the Internet, and can continue making money for you month after month, year after year.
In fact, it isn’t unusual for just one article to sell hundreds of dollars worth of product or to generate just as much money or even more in AdSense commissions.
So, starting today, once you understand the role AIDA has to play in your business and how it can catapult your profits as a product owner or affiliate, you’ll be keen to write and upload as many articles as you possibly can.
Read on to see how it’s done.
AIDA sounds like a woman’s name, or a soda perhaps, but in fact it’s an acronym for four words that lie at the heart of many super-successful sales letters, and that includes articles too!
AIDA is the acronym for four stages in all successful articles aimed at growing interest in a specific product or service and enticing readers to make a purchase. It stands for:
A - Attention
I - Interest
D - Desire
A - Action
The four steps go like this:
ATTENTION - your article’s title, first sentence, or first paragraph, attracts your readers’ attention from maybe hundreds of other articles, at an article directory, for example, or from a long list of articles returned by a search engine.
Once you have their attention, you need to capture your readers’ INTEREST, and ultimately get them to buy your product. You usually generate interest by revealing great benefits about your recommended product in your article’s first or second paragraph.
Now you need to create DESIRE for your product, and make your readers keen to buy, usually by piling on the benefits of what your product does from the first or second paragraph right through to your article’s final word.
Last but not least, you must get readers to take ACTION, meaning to order or request more information about your product. This is often done by getting them to click on a link in your article’s resource box that takes them to another site either to buy right away or sign up to a mailing list for more information about your product.
So now you realise how powerful the AIDA concept is to your articles, and how it whips your readers up into a frenzy and makes them keen to know more about your product, and possibly to buy it right away, you’ll be keen to get started writing new articles every day based on four short words that can make fabulous profits for you!
That word again is AIDA and it stands for Attention - Interest - Desire - Action. Don’t forget it and use the formula as often as you can.
All articles are provided in good faith and are researched and written to the best of our abilities. However, readers should always do their own due diligence before investing in any business opportunity, and they should be aware that many article writers and web masters, including ourselves, frequently receive a commission for selling other people's products. We pride ourselves on always choosing the very best products to recommend to our readers and we only recommend products offering a solid money back guarantee.
